As part of the activities aimed at improving the education system in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the fifth online meeting of the Working Group (WG) for Strengthening Key Competences in the Area of Digital and Entrepreneurial Skills was held on 17 October 2025, organized by our project.
During the meeting, participants were introduced to the methodology for developing the Roadmap for the Systemic Integration of Digital Competences into Education in BiH, as well as the analysis of the current situation and needs in this field.
“Our goal is to establish a sustainable approach to digital transformation through coordinated action at all levels of government. Digital competences must become an integral part of every curriculum,” emphasized representatives of the EU for Vocational Education and Recognition of Skills in BiH project.
The planned Roadmap will serve as a high-level policy and implementation framework defining concrete steps, timelines, responsibilities, and resources required for the systematic inclusion of digital competences in teaching, learning, and school management.
In addition, the assessment of the current situation represents an important foundation for developing future training programmes and educational materials that will support teachers, schools, and pedagogical institutes in better integrating digital competences into their daily work.
In the coming period, members of the Working Group will nominate individuals to be interviewed as part of the Study on the Needs for Strengthening Key Competences in the Area of Digital Skills and the Development of the Roadmap for the Integration of Digital Competences into Education Systems in BiH, covering primary, general secondary, and vocational education levels.
