The 10th meeting of the Steering Committee (SC) of the project EU for Vocational Education and Skills Recognition in BiH, held online on 16 September, was highly successful, with all proposed materials receiving unanimous support from the members.
Along with the adoption of the Training Plan and EQAVET indicator model, as well as a provisional Action Plan for the implementation of trainings in the area of quality assurance, a selection of two locations for piloting amendments to the legislative framework in this field was also approved. The selected locations are Una-Sana Canton (USC) and Bosnian-Podrinje Canton (BPC).
The project representative explained that the Strategic Development Working Group had proposed these cantons because they are already in the process of amending their legal acts in the area of quality assurance. Piloting will therefore provide valuable support to this process and enable practical insights.
The meeting also adopted an Amendment to the decision on the list of nominated master trainers and quality coordinators in vocational education and training, thus allowing their training to begin without delay.
The SC members also unanimously adopted the Programme, Plan, and Training Model for trainers in the field of Validation of Non-Formal Educationand Informal Learning (VNFIL). The training programme is designed for institutional representatives and practitioners who play a key role in establishing, implementing, and sustaining the VNFIL system in BiH.
Special emphasis will be placed on involving vocational schools in the selected locations, as well as local employers’ organisations and employment services. In this way, trainings will be carried out under real conditions, and the piloting will demonstrate how adaptable the system is to the actual context and community needs.
