The fifth meeting of the Project Working Group (WG) on Strategic Development and Quality Assurance in Vocational Education was held online at the end of August. Despite the summer holiday season still being underway, many WG members joined the session to engage in discussions and contribute to shaping key priorities for advancing vocational education and training in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the meeting, participants reviewed training needs in the area of quality assurance in vocational education and were introduced to a comprehensive training program for master trainers and quality coordinators, along with a detailed plan for its implementation and piloting.

The main purpose of the plan is to provide structured and consistent support to schools piloting the Methodology for Quality Assurance in Vocational Education.

The pilot will be carried out by a Technical Support Team, which will train 30 master trainers. These trainers will then deliver training to 200 quality coordinators from vocational secondary schools across Bosnia and Herzegovina. Master trainers will primarily come from pedagogical institutes, while quality coordinators will be staff members of schools (teachers, professional associates, principals).

The piloting of the Methodology is scheduled to take place between September 2025 and June 2026.

The meeting also included discussions on the draft decision regarding pilot locations for testing legislative framework changes in the area of quality assurance in vocational education. So far, the proposed pilot areas are Bosnian-Podrinje Canton Goražde (BPK) and Una-Sana Canton (USK).
