At the eighth meeting of the Working Group (WG) on the Validation of Non-Formal and Informal Learning (VNFIL), held online on 27 August, the focus was placed on the upcoming training for 150 master trainers and the piloting of the VNFIL process.

WG members were presented in detail with the training programme, its modules, and the implementation plan.

The programme is designed to build the capacities of a core group of 150 trainers who will subsequently deliver training for VNFIL counsellors and assessors. These practitioners will play a key role in introducing the VNFIL system in BiH, with an additional 30 professionals to be engaged in the process.

In a constructive discussion, participants provided valuable feedback aimed at further improving the forthcoming training.

A key novelty is that the piloting of the VNFIL process will be conducted at four locations: Una-Sana Canton, Tuzla Canton, Sarajevo Canton, and Brčko District.

The proposed training model ensures long-term sustainability. It is candidate-centred, and it is grounded in the principles of transparency, inclusiveness, and alignment with EU standards and good practices in lifelong learning. Furthermore, this model enables the structured development of institutional and human capacities required for the operationalisation of the VNFIL system across Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The document presented at the meeting builds upon reference materials developed during previous activities of the project WG – the Guidelines for the Implementation of VNFIL in BiH and the Methodological Guide on VNFIL Principles and Standards in BiH.
